Saju Score explains Korean Saju (사주, the Four Pillars) in plain English. The calculator works out your four pillars from your birth date, time and place, with the solar terms calculated from the Sun's position and your birth time corrected for your birthplace's time zone history and local solar time.
All of the writing on this site is original. The tradition is old, shared and interpreted in many ways; where schools differ, we say which convention we use and let you switch where it matters (solar time, the 23:00 day boundary, hidden stems in the element count).
How accurate is it?
The engine is tested against published solar term times from the Hong Kong Observatory (every term from 2020 and 2024 to 2026 falls within a minute), the IANA time zone database for Korea's historical clocks, worked examples from reference sources, and thousands of charts from a widely used open source calendar library.
