Mu-sul is earth on earth: the mountain, 戊, on the Dog, 戌, dry autumn earth that stores fire. The stage is Storehouse and the pillar is one of the most solid in the cycle. The picture is a great bare mountain in late autumn, immovable and warm to the touch.
People with this day pillar are often described as strong willed, loyal and independent, with enormous persistence. You sit on the Peer, your own element, read as self reliance and a firm sense of self. The Dog hides fire and metal too, which the tradition reads as warmth and sharp judgment.
With others you tend to be protective, principled and slow to change your mind. You may be a rock for your people. The growth point is flexibility: even mountains let rivers through.

The branch 戌 Sul holds hidden stems (지장간 jijanggan). Seen from the day master 戊, each one takes a ten god role. The last one listed is the main stem, so this pillar is said to sit on the Peer. Same element, same polarity as you: friends, equals, and your own independent streak.
